After the success of the ‘Youth on the Air’ International camp recently in Scout HQ at Gilwell Park, the Greenock District will be hosting their ‘Youth on the Air’ day on 21st October 2017 at Scout HQ in Finnart Street, when we celebrate the World Scout Jamboree on the Air (JOTA).
Activities on offer will be Amateur Radio, Morse code, QR code & Morse code based wide games.
This year we will also demonstrate some of the activities available in the linked event, Jamboree on the Internet(JOTI). For more information on JOTI click here.
Get in touch with us at mm0tsg@gmail.com to book your young people in for this exciting Scout activity with the District’s very own Amateur Radio Club. This will be offered on a ‘1st come 1st served’ basis.
Book early to ensure your group doesn’t miss out.
Our Brick in the Promise Path
Bob and Eunice recently visited the UK Scout Headquarters at Gilwell Park to view our club brick in the Promise Path. The brick is a perpetual reminder of the donation made to the Scout movement by club members.
