Badge night at Kilmalcolm

Members of the Radio Club travelled to Kilmalcolm to run an activity night featuring the Cubs Communicator Badge for the 42nd G&D Scouts.
The Cubs and instructors thoroughly enjoyed completing the badge work and the communication related games which followed.

We now look forward to our next visit in two weeks to run the same event for the remaining half of the Cub pack.

Thinking Day on the Air (TDOTA) 2023

The members of the radio club were delighted to help the local Girlguiding celebrate Thinking Day on the Air yesterday.
We welcomed members of the 4th Gourock Brownies, their Leaders and the District Commissioner to our Radio Shack.
The club ran various communications based games and activities for the young people, these included a visit to the radio room where they were able to talk, using the radio equipment, with other Girlguiding members and amateur radio operators in the UK.

Everyone, Leaders, Brownies and the radio operators had lots of fun.
Some of the comments we received from parents were……

.……. really enjoyed it.
…….. had such an amazing time, thank you so much to everyone involved.
