This afternoon’s activities were designed to develop friendship between camp participants.
All Jamboree participants were able to partake of food and cultural activities which highlighted the different nations represented.
GB1AJ team members threw themselves whole heartedly into the activities organised by the contingent from the Ukraine.


The GB1AJ Radio Team were delighted to welcome the UKs Chief Commissioner, Wayne Bulpitt, to the shack this afternoon. In true Scouting fashion he enthusiastically joined in the activities including sending a greetings message over the air to a fellow Scout station.
Another great day at the Jamboree.
Today the Radio Team were visited by many Scouts and Guides who were able to send greetings messages to radio amateurs around the world.
To date we have made 290 QSO with 49 countries. Our Morse Code wide game and ‘tree listening’ activity has been a great success. The favourite tree so far has been ‘Oscar’ with his deep and sonorous voice.
