The members of the radio club were delighted to help the local Girlguiding celebrate Thinking Day on the Air yesterday.
We welcomed members of the 4th Gourock Brownies, their Leaders and the District Commissioner to our Radio Shack.
The club ran various communications based games and activities for the young people, these included a visit to the radio room where they were able to talk, using the radio equipment, with other Girlguiding members and amateur radio operators in the UK.

Everyone, Leaders, Brownies and the radio operators had lots of fun.

The 85th G&D Scouts had a fun night completing their Communicators Badge activities at the Scout HQ Radio Shack.

Today we welcome the 85th Scout Group to the Radio Club where they will undertake work for their Communicators Badge.

JOTA/JOTI, the world’s largest amateur radio Scout event takes place this weekend, 14-16 October.
The event connects millions of young people around the world for a full weekend of amateur radio and online activities that promote friendship and global citizenship.

JOTA is one of World Scouting’s longest-running global events, dating back to 1958.
The Radio Group (MM0TSG) will be active on the air as well as running activities for the young people in the shack in District HQ.
