Jamboree on the Air 2017

JOTA1017-BadgeAfter the success of the ‘Youth on the Air’ International camp recently in Scout HQ at Gilwell Park, the Greenock District will be hosting their ‘Youth on the Air’ day on 21st October 2017 at Scout HQ in Finnart Street, when we celebrate the World Scout Jamboree on the Air (JOTA).

Activities on offer will be Amateur Radio, Morse code, QR code & Morse code based wide games.

Once again our group participated in the Jamborette. Bob and Eunice were part of the Scout Radio Team providing radio related activities and the opportunity to talk with radio amateurs and scouts across the world.
The activities were carried out over five days and the radio station received visits from 106 Scouts representing countries across the globe.
